Joy comes from exploring design elements and different mediums to incorporate these into textiles, quilts, and other craft. Sharing ideas with others adds to the delight of discovery.
On the other side of the globe is a textile artist who is really into dyeing and textile art. I have been following Marjorie’s progress, also being a convert to dyeing.
We decided to surprize each other by swapping a small piece of fabric.
This is Marjorie’s surprize that I received a few days ago. I do love the subtle shades of raspberry, blueberry, and a touch of eucalyptus green. And the unusual texture in the silk fabric adds a delightful edge to the sheen.
More about Marjorie’s swaps can be seen on her blog – go to http://mydyeblog.wordpress.com/
Born in Adelaide, a Sydney dweller until 2012 when I moved to Dungog in New South Wales, Australia, I welcome any enquiries regarding quilts or textile art pieces that may interest you.
