Diverting from dye to watercolour

Today’s continuous falling of rain diverted my attention towards painting silk fabric with watercolours. As my interest was to produce art cards rather than art to wear, the use of watercolours was fine.

I discovered this technique from the book Silk Painting by Colleen Western.  This well written book came into my hands when loaned by a Dungog stitching friend.  So I quietly sat with my paints & brushes.

Emerging from my table came these two.  First one was painted on organza that was previously Eco-dyed with leaves; the second piece was pure White habotai silk.

Do I keep these as samples, or do I make them up into greeting cards?

Am sleeping on it.
